About the Salon

This salonis a hub of happy hair artists with an amazing clientele that hopefully return to the community reinvigorated, excited, and laughing. There is mostly metered parking available. PRO TIP: Many ride bikes, walk to the salon, or take an Uber. Everything that you need is just around the salon and within walking distance.

About the Neighborhood:

The salon is within the Stockade District of Uptown Kingston, NY. This area reminds many folks and those relocating of a Brooklyn-esque type of area. There is a trailways bus within walking distance, and the salon is 1.5 hours from Times Square, 15 min from Woodstock, and  40 minutes from Albany. Please note that there is street parking with strict meter maids. BONUS: There is municipal parking in 4 areas of the Stockade District for employee parking. There are amazing cafes, bars, and shops to spend free time. For a nice coffee/snack break, you will find Outdated and Uptown Coffee;  Sissy’s Cafe, Duo Bistro, Stella’s, and Santa Fe for a more relaxing sit down meal.

About the Host:

Kingston Native and lover of all things local, host Jennifer was a graduate of SUNY New Paltz studying Public Relations and Business. All the while, she was working as a hairstylist and salon coordinator for the infamous rock and roll hairstylist, Mark Ferraro. Jennifer is now helping other women open their dream projects as a consultant and silent partner, as well as assisting with getting local film projects off the ground. Jennifer continues to stay well connected in the industry, linking the world beyond NYC to a more "casual" living in the Hudson Valley for many of her NYC colleagues.
