Disrupting for the Future of Work | PHX Startup Week 2021

If you didn’t have a chance to attend PHX Startup Week, here is your chance to catch up on the conversations.

The future of work has long been moving away from four core walls and into “everywhere” terrority. While this is new for the 9 to 5 crowd, where suit and ties have always had to commute to and from work, use elevators and stairs to hop from meeting to meeting, and ultimately use their cubicle as their second home; this is not new territory for the beauty and barbering community.

Dr. Tye and Courtney Caldwell Share Their Entrepreneurial Story

Yes, salons, barbershops and spas are brick and mortar establishments however the professionals who occupy those chairs, booths and private suites have always been ‘on the go’, solopreneurs who are committed to giving their clients the best possible experience. With that in mind, Dr. Tye and Courtney Caldwell joined PHX StartUp Week to discuss what the future of work looks like from their eyes, and why ShearShare is ahead of the curve when it comes to where and how the beauty industry will work in the immediate future.

Our co-founders sat with Mike Jones to discuss how the future of work is being positively disrupted by the “gig economy”, and how technology is helping facilitate the pivot from “work from here” to “work from anywhere”. They also talk about how ShearShare is helping bring that change to the beauty industry with our usage based rental model, usage based insurance coverage and most importantly putting it all of it at the tips of our users’ fingers with our mobile application.
